Many thanks to Malcolm and all at supreme fireworks for yet another excellent display.

Only a few days to go!

Just a few days left, Still time to get advance tickets from Sheeplands or Brighton’s. Tickets available on the gates anyway. Not only will we have the best Firework show and bonfire locally, there will also be Pelhams funfair, Beer tent, Twyford Scouts doing their fabulous BBQ. Tea, Coffee & Cake and glow sticks a plenty. It will be quite the event. We hope to see you there. Gates from 1830, Bangs,
Oohs and aahs from 1930.

Less than a week to go!

The weather forecast for Saturday evening’s bonfire and fireworks display in King Georges Field is looking great! 9 degrees, a slight breeze and no rain. Who could ask for more from a late October evening? Not that the rain would stop us anyway as we Twyfordians are a hardy bunch.

Here are a few details to help get you in as quickly as possible. As always there will be five access/exit points and typically Gate 4 tends to be the busiest.

Gate 1 – North West corner of the field from the gravelly car park coming off Wargrave Road

Gate 2 – North East corner of the field coming in from Longfield Road

Gate 3 – South East corner of the field coming in from Loddon Hall

Gate 4 – South side of the field coming in from Hermitage Drive

Gate 5 – South West corner of the field coming in from Wargrave road by the tennis courts

Advanced tickets (£1 off) are still available from Sheeplands and Brighton’s newsagents and are encouraged as the less we have to deal with change, etc the quicker you can get in.

But tickets will be available on the door so do not worry if you can’t get a ticket in advance.

This year’s bonfire is going to be great! There will be a myriad of refreshments and entertainment including:
– Pelham’s Funfair
– A barbeque run by the Scouts
– A drinks tent selling mulled wine, real ales (Binghams) and the usual wines, lagers, ciders, soft drinks and bottles of water
– A tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cakes tent

All profits will be distributed between local charities and we would love to see as many of you there as possible!
