This evenings meeting was at the Reading Climbing Centre, it was awesome but tiring.

Tickets are available online or from the team at Goodall Smith Wealth Management, High Street, Twyford at discounted rate

If you would like to get involved in the organisation of this event then please get in touch via Facebook or on the contact us page

We look forward to seeing you there!

For this evenings meeting we had a very eye opening presentation from one of the Charities Twyford Round Table supports.

Andrew from Launchpad based in Reading kindly walked us through what they do with the money people donate and how we can help. Launchpad deal with the problems affecting local people, the seen, unseen and the hidden homeless as well as helping those before they become homeless.

We would encourage you to look into then more at their website:

They also recommend everyone has the Streetlink app

And they are part of the MEAM approach – Making Every Adult Matter.

Advance Prices remain £6/£3/£1 and will be available online at the button on this page or here.

Tickets will also be available on the door so do not worry if you can’t get a ticket in advance. They will be £7.5/£4.5/£1.5 and will be available at Twyford New’s and on the gate.

This year’s bonfire is going to be great, themed to celebrate the Lunar Landing 50 year anniversary!

There will be a myriad of refreshments and entertainment including:
– Pelham’s Funfair
– A barbeque run by the Scouts
– A drinks tent selling mulled wine, Rebellion ales and the usual wines, lagers, ciders, soft drinks and bottles of water
– A tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cakes tent

  • A light up toy tent

All profits will be distributed between local charities and we would love to see as many of you there as possible!

Another superb Donkey Derby, many thanks to the 1st Twyford Scouts for putting on another smashing event.

Thank you for coming to visit us and ride Sam the train. If you are thinking of joining us, please get in touch.

This evening Twyford & District Round Table had their AGM at the Great House. We would like to say a big thank you to our outgoing chairman Mark Robinson, welcome to our new chairman Neetan Kathuria and his new vice Brad Pitt.

Welcome to our 2 newest members Julian & Mark

Today is #TimetoTalk Day. Conversations have the power to change lives, and you don’t have to be an expert to talk about mental health.

Still, too many people are made to feel ashamed because of a mental health problem. You can change that: however you do it, reach out and have a conversation about mental health today.

It has been an incredible couple of days. We have had the ups and downs and all the in-betweens you can imagine. So we would like to give a huge, heartfelt thanks to all of the people of Twyford and our friends across Berkshire who got stuck in to help and support us when things looked quite difficult. We hope you had a fantastic night and can’t wait to do it all over again next year (after some rest mind you haha). Thank you from all of us at the Twyford & District Roundtable.

A message from our Chairman – Update on the Fireworks & Bonfire Night

The firework night will have a dazzling RAF themed display celebrating 100 years of flying expertise.

Unfortunately last night someone set light to the magnificent bonfire we spent all day yesterday building.

We are disappointed this happened and our thanks are to the fire brigade and the public that brought it to our attention. Firstly I would like to say this absolutely won’t stop us going ahead with tonight’s firework extravaganza!

Secondly, we’re rebuilding the bonfire today and thank the Twyford Community for their help and supportive messages.

This will be a great demonstration of how Twyford can come together to support each other.

If anyone has any wood, garden waste or furniture please bring it to the field until 2 pm today and my team will build an even better bonfire!
Otherwise please show your support by coming down tonight. Gates open 6.30pm and tickets are available via or on Facebook or on the gates.

Let’s have a great night together.

Thank you, Twyford
