We’re very proud that a few blokes can put on one of Twyford’s biggest annual community events in our spare time. We have a lot of fun building our bonfire every year on the last Friday of October. Tablers pull together to pile palettes, topping them off with the garden waste of the great and the good of Twyford. Always lots of hard work (which some of us are more used to than others) and a lot of laughing. Saturday is spent fetching and erecting the fireworks and tents, selling tickets and preparing all the catering. Again it’s alot of work but, if the weather is good, we make some serious money for local good causes, this year approximately £9000
If you’re interested in helping out next year, please get in touch to find out about joining us.
Well done to James for the overall organisation of a successful event this year.
The Twyford Advertiser were there on the night and also have some great pictures of the from the event’
This may be a little graphic for guy lovers and people who like conductors.
Glorious weather for an unusually stress-free bonfire build. Well done to Rick, Kevin, and a special mention to Dave for giving up his day with his huge truck.
To see this thing burn, don’t forget your advance tickets from Brightons in Twyford or Sheeplands (or pay on the gate).
This year’s, obligatory, cheesy grin from a Sam-the-train driver.
The Donkey Derby was a great day as always, although the weather wasn’t that kind to us this year.
New table year off to a flying start (Literally), We were joined by Caversham Table and tried to get around the course in a hovercraft.

This year’s cycle excursion was to Bruges (or Brugge if you’re Belgian). 14 of us attended and enjoyed a weekend of Beer, good food and some excellent cycling (that part of Belgium is extremely flat, if a little windy).
We also visited Ypres (Ieper) on the way back to the ferry to continue the war theme which many of these cycle trips seem to have.
One of the most important parts of tonight’s AGM ceremonies.
It is a little known fact that if you join Twyford Round Table, you will get spooky black Halloween eyes.
