Only 3 days left until Fireworks night!! Friday’s weather looks rubbish, so we’re going to get moist building the fire, but it’s set to be good weather on Saturday for an excellent Bonfire extravaganza.
We will be building the bonfire on Friday 24th from 9am – 3 if you wanted to drop off any large wooden items/garden waste,
The event will take place on Saturday 25th October on King George V Playing Fields in Twyford . Advance tickets will cost £6 adult, £3 youth/senior and £1 under 12. On the gate it will be £7, £4 and £1 Tickets prior to the event will be available at Brightons newsagents or Hare Hatch Sheeplands, and all money raised will be going to local charities.
An excellent evening in beautiful sunshine playing a Human Table football tournament against other Tables in our area and also Tablers from around the country.
The event was organised by Maidenhead Round Table and brilliantly hosted for us by SportsAble in Maidenhead, a charity “dedicated to the promotion of awareness of disability through sport and recreational activity“. Thanks to both.
The evening finished with a lovely curry banquet for all.
Twyford, as last year’s overall victors, were disappointed not to reach the knockout stages this year.
The weather was tremendous this year and a bumper crowd was at the Twyford Donkey Derby, the races were close and Sam the train was really quite popular, another good year for the 1st Twyford Scouts. We met many happy parents this year having a moment of calm whilst the children rode the train. Hope to see you all next year.
