Many thanks for supporting us & Santa’s Sleigh

Twyford Round Table are proud to announce that the donations from the Santa Sleigh this year were : £4373.21

We would like to thank the kind residents of Twyford, Wargrave & Hurst for their generous donations and the warm welcomes into your streets. None of this would be possible without you.  We would also like to thank our volunteer elves (and their children) who braved the wind and rain to bring smiles and Christmas spirit to the local area.

We will distribute the proceeds in the new year to local charities and publish the charity names on our website (

The leftover chocolates will be donated to the children’s ward at Royal Berkshire hospital before Christmas.

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Twyford & District Round Tables fireworks and bonfire extravaganza tonight! Gates from 18:30, see you there (behind Loddon Hall). Please allow time for queues at the gates, BBQ, Beer tent and Pelhams fair all on the field tonight.

Less than a week to go!

The weather forecast for Saturday evening’s bonfire and fireworks display in King Georges Field is looking great! 9 degrees, a slight breeze and no rain. Who could ask for more from a late October evening? Not that the rain would stop us anyway as we Twyfordians are a hardy bunch.

Here are a few details to help get you in as quickly as possible. As always there will be five access/exit points and typically Gate 4 tends to be the busiest.

Gate 1 – North West corner of the field from the gravelly car park coming off Wargrave Road

Gate 2 – North East corner of the field coming in from Longfield Road

Gate 3 – South East corner of the field coming in from Loddon Hall

Gate 4 – South side of the field coming in from Hermitage Drive

Gate 5 – South West corner of the field coming in from Wargrave road by the tennis courts

Advanced tickets (£1 off) are still available from Sheeplands and Brighton’s newsagents and are encouraged as the less we have to deal with change, etc the quicker you can get in.

But tickets will be available on the door so do not worry if you can’t get a ticket in advance.

This year’s bonfire is going to be great! There will be a myriad of refreshments and entertainment including:
– Pelham’s Funfair
– A barbeque run by the Scouts
– A drinks tent selling mulled wine, real ales (Binghams) and the usual wines, lagers, ciders, soft drinks and bottles of water
– A tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cakes tent

All profits will be distributed between local charities and we would love to see as many of you there as possible!
